| Job description: | Our client is looking for an Embedded Software Engineer to utilize an advanced processor architecture to create efficient, high bandwidth, computational intensive multimedia algorithms. These algorithms will be part of a library package supporting applications which include wireless video, music and 3D multi-player gaming. Functionality, speed, size and power consumption are all key metrics of the software.
Skills/Experience: Requires innovation and an expert level knowledge of C, C++ and assembly language. Requires knowledge of SIMD (single instruction multiple data) programming and experience with multimedia applications and codecs(H.264 or Mpeg4). Requires knowledge of embedded CPU's/DSP's and working knowledge of deeply pipelined processors. Experience with embedded software development and debug tools, performance analysis, simulators, emulators. Additional Skills: Excellent verbal and written communications. Ability to work in a team environment. Education Requirements: BSCS or BSEE required, MSCS or MSEE preferred |
