Working with senior leadership and the product development team, the Graphic Designer will be responsible for the visual design of a number of web properties and feature-sets. This position works closely with all departments in the development of new templates and layouts, visual designs, iconography, features and functionality, as well as some marketing campaigns and collateral materials.
The ideal candidate will have a passion for user-centered design and visual communication as well as familiarity with the capabilities and limitations of most front-end scripting languages like JavaScript, CSS, and AJAX. This is a fantastic opportunity for a self-starter who wants to work with a highly creative team and have an impact in their role.
Roles & Responsibilities
• Develop multiple design templates for various web sites and product features.
• Partner with stakeholders to ensure that all designs support and clearly articulate our brand attributes and value proposition.
• Assist in the development of style guidelines that satisfy business requirements.
• Serve as subject matter expert for the organization in the area of graphic design.
• Collaborate with team members on requirements definition and usability testing plans.
• Work with other internal departments to assist with design needs.
Qualifications
• B.A./B.S. degree in graphic design, visual communications, or related field.
• 4-6 years of experience in graphic design, with an emphasis on web design and new media.
• Knowledgeable about current Web browser design constraints.
• Experience in typography, iconography and illustration.
• Ability to clearly translate creative briefs into finished product.
• Experience managing projects and meeting strict deadlines.
• Excellent communication skills.
