This banking analyst position requires a motivated and organized self-starter who possesses superior verbal and written communication skills. The analyst must be computer literate in standard applications, be willing to learn applications such as Access and PowerPoint, and possess a strong understanding of basic accounting and be capable of developing deep financial analysis skills. The analyst will support and work with all members of the banking department on existing and new credit relationships and provide support on critical aspects of Boston Banking?s credit function, personal loan portfolio, and client service operations as needs arise. The idealcandidate must be able to multi-task under tight time constraints.
Job duties:
  • Credit analysis preparation and presentation for weekly credit meeting with bankers and partners
  • Executive summaries of incoming new business opportunities
  • Financial modeling of company financials on Excel
  • Industry research projects and white papers as required
  • Support loan officers in-house and on client/prospect visits
  • Assistance with loan administration and relationship management of our individual loan portfolio
  • Maintenance of databases for client and industry concentration information
  • Preparation of credit department reports (weekly, monthly, quarterly)
Req. candidate profile :
  • Strong organization and written/oral communication skills
  • Interpersonal maturity, confidence, and poise
  • BS/BA degree with top academic achievement
  • Proficiency in computer spreadsheets, word-processing, and presentation applications
  • Ability to work independently in a team environment and handle multiple tasks simultaneously
  • Financial analysis skills preferred
