To provide accounts receivable credit and collection management of an assigned portfolio of accounts for the Thermo King Business Unit. Initiate credit investigation on assigned accounts. Compile, analyze and interpret credit information and render credit decision based on policies and procedures. Execute collection plan for assigned accounts utilizing collection programs including customer visits, telephone contact and correspondence. Recommend improvements in collection strategy for assigned accounts. Develop and maintain close working relationships with other Thermo King departments, customers/dealers to facilitate collections and the resolution of claims and disputes. Communicate with appropriate division and/or sales management relative to customer problem situations. Ensure that orders with non-standard terms are approved by Treasury Management after risk analysis and cash flow impact are known. Initiate legal action, with the approval of Treasury Management, when necessary to protect the corporation from a receivable related loss. Ensure the proper procedures, as required by law, are followed in protecting the receivable investment as they pertain to lien rights, payment bonds and payment guarantees, including Letters of Credit, Drafts and other documentary collections. Prepare reports on the condition of accounts receivable and inform the Treasury Management of major changes in account financial condition and payment patterns. Take initiative to recommend improvements in Treasury operations. Req. candidate profile : BS in Finance, Accounting or Business Administration. 3 - 5 years previous experience in credit and collection or related disciplines. Experience with Credit analysis, collection procedures, commercial law, general accounting and banking and fundamentals of personal computer systems.
