| Job description: |
- Analyze the viability of new geographic and sector-specific fund management strategies, as well as other new business lines
- Forecast the impact of new investments, investment exits, and the company's capital strategy for the next one to twelve quarters
- Forecast all line items on the P&L and balance sheet to project quarterly earnings and financial performance metrics
- Analyze American Capital's financial results (corporate, per office and per investment) and provide senior management with performance assessments
- Build financial models to forecast potential changes to the company's business units, investment assets and capital structure
- Assist in the testing, build out and set up of a new Excel-based planning and analysis software system

| Req. candidate profile : |
- Bachelor's degree in Finance or Accounting
- 3 + yrs experience directly related to financial analysis, forecasting and building models using MS Excel and/or database driven financial planning systems
- Intense work ethic and meticulous attention to detail
- Record of success in a high pressure, demanding work environment
- Excellent quantitative skills
- Strong knowledge of accounting principles and financial statements
- High level of proficiency with MS Excel
