Job description
Job description: This qualified technician will provide advance on site technical support ranging from software installation and configuration to complex hardware problem resolution. A knowledge of commonly used concepts, practices, and procedures involved in running a News or TV Station is strongly preferred.
Req. candidate profile : • Minimum of four to five years experience installing and configuring computer hardware and software in a network environment and client end user support, preferred
• Two years demonstrated experience in help desk support in lead and/or management position
• Required certifications: MCSE (Windows 2000 or Windows Server 2003), A+
• Proficient working knowledge of MAC OS 10.x.x is desired
• Proficient working knowledge of Adobe Software (i.e. Premier)
• Proficient working knowledge of News Services software (i.e. ENPS)
• Knowledge of Desktop, Audio, and Video publishing software (i.e. Final Cut Studio)
• Experience and knowledge in specialty area such as a news department or radio station, preferred
• Experience and knowledgeable in advance computer network troubleshooting
• Advanced knowledge of Windows 2000, XP and Vista
• Advanced knowledge of Word, Excel, Access, Power Point, Project, and Visio
• Advance front-line support & troubleshooting skills including but not limited to the knowledge of Active Directory account admin, network configuration, remote tools, file system architecture, VPN, MS Office, and Outlook
• Experience working with laptop systems such as Sony, HP and Dell
• Experience working with Malware, Adware, and Virus diagnostic utilities
• Must be able to learn, understand, and apply new technologies
• Ability to communicate effectively, both written and orally with a pleasant demeanor
• Experience at working both independently and in a team oriented environment
• Self motivated and directed, with keen attention to detail
