Instructional responsibilities will include courses in site development, planting design, landscape construction, and landscape architecture. The successful candidate will advise students in academic and research/creative activities that relate to landscape design. Also, s/he will be expected to remain current in the profession by collaborating with faculty in research and teaching and engaging in research/creative activity and professional development. S/he will develop expertise in the area of landscape planning and design relevant to Montana issues.
Req. candidate profile :
Required Qualifications:
Terminal degree in landscape architecture (MLA) from an accredited program.
Potential for excellence in teaching
Demonstrated excellence in landscape design through experience in professional practice or teaching
Excellence in written and oral communications
Preferred Qualifications:
Demonstrated ability to teach at the university level
Demonstrated ability to secure extramural funding
Past record of scholarly activity
Evidence of collaborative efforts in teaching or scholarly activity
C.L.A.R.B. certification, licensure as Landscape Architect (or activity toward such licensing) OR a PhD in Horticulture, Plant Sciences or a related field.
