The Marketing Designer is responsible for the graphic and creative work involved in the creation of our client's two divisions' marketing materials, presentation materials, advertising, promotional items, product packaging, product branding, company identity and more.
Digital/website design, creation, or management is a highly desired but not required. Elements of digital design and marketing, which are requested from time to time, include but are not limited to, email templates, webpage template design, digital ads, and digital video production. Administrative responsibilities related to the sales department are also part of the job responsibilities.
The Marketing Designer (MD) will keep track of and maintain appropriate inventory levels of literature and marketing materials. The MD will communicate with Dealers and Merchants in support of sales activities generated by the sales force. Additional responsibilities include communicating, negotiating and ordering from outside vendors, website development firms, outside marketing companies and suppliers in support of the marketing department.
*Bachelor’s degree in Fine Arts, Graphic or Digital Design or Marketing
*Minimum of 3 years’ experience in an agency of graphic design, private practice or private business
*Advanced abilities in Adobe Photoshop, Illustrator and In Design and a solid working knowledge of Dreamweaver and all Microsoft Office Suite programs (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook)
*Experience developing and designing product displays, literature, and other forms of print media and advertising.
*Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to express design concepts to others clearly
*Strong writing skills
*Ability to prioritize, multi-task and meet deadlines.
*Must be a detail-oriented, self-motivated, team player
*Ability to travel occasionally
*Ability to take direction on concepts and design, and implement them through finished project
*Ability to work in a fluid team environment taking input from multiple directors
*Must maintain capabilities with ever-changing design software, adapting to new technologies as they develop
Additional Preferred Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
*SEO best practices and experience
*Experience with video editing software such as Cinema 4D, Adobe Prelude & Premiere or Final Cut
*Experience with online marketing
*Experience and expertise with social media marketing
*Ability to lift objects of 10 to 20 pounds regularly and move boxes up to 30 pounds occasionally
*Ability to climb a ladder up to six feet off the floor to occasionally access and place boxes that can weigh up to 30 pounds
*Minimum vision, hearing, and speaking capabilities to perform job duties
