Job duties: Position Summary

Please note that this is a 2nd shift position

Repairs and maintains machinery and mechanical equipment throughout the plant such as basic electrical, engines, motors, pneumatic tools, conveyor systems, production machines, TDI, tunnel repairs, saws, and equipment by performing the following duties.

Specific job duties:
•Planning and installation of mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic equipment and fixtures.
•Inspects machinery and equipment for conformance to company specifications.
•Interprets specifications, blueprints, and job orders as assigned.
•Diagnose and repair malfunctions in machinery, pumps, piping, filters, and related equipment.
•Perform in dismantling, assembling, repairing and installing industrial machinery.
•Ability to summarize technical topics and recommend solutions
•Ability to communicate technical issues to management and Plant Engineering
•Recommends measures to improve production methods, equipment performance, and quality of product.
•Sets up production machines and equipment and perform Preventive Maintenance as needed.
•Ability to read electrical meters, trouble shoots and repair electrical shorts, and have an understanding of voltage and amperage.
•Ability to handle tough conditions, (heat, enclosed areas, dust, etc) is a must.
•Performs activities as assigned.
•Ability to weld with stick and mig
Req. candidate profile : Requirements
•High school diploma or general education degree (GED).
•2 years technical training and/or 5-10 years related experience.
•At least 5 years’ experience in Electrical and Process Instrument Troubleshooting.
•Multi-tasking capabilities. Must be flexible in work assignments.
•Demonstrated high standard for safety.
