Responsibilities:
The Accounting Manager will direct and coordinate the work of two accountants with overall responsibility for management of the operational accounting functions for a multi-state mining & processing operation. Focus will be to summarize and forecast operational business activity/financial position in areas of volume, costs and gross margin based on past, present and expected business performance; prepare, coordinate and communicate month-end results of operating locations; oversee the generation of monthly account reconciliation; review the results of the annual product standard cost update process to ensure consistency across locations; compliance with company policy and accuracy of resulting standards.

Qualifications:
To qualify, you must have a BA in Accounting or Finance with 8+ years experience in all aspects of accounting. Supervisory and 3+ years recent experience in a manufacturing environment required. Experience with product costing and variance analysis preferred. Candidates must be highly proficient in Excel; possess good interpersonal & communication skills; and have excellent organizational and multi-tasking abilities.
