Responsibilities:
Assisting with and develop a plan to ensure a successful, democratic execution of the elections
Aid the CRO to ensure the election process is organized in a manner which is fair to all candidates
Assist with promotions, outreach and training of poll clerks
Responsible to schedule poll clerks and assist with administrative tasks and record keeping
Oversee voting during three days of elections and assist with the ballot counting
Assist the CRO to enforce the election rules and guidelines as directed and as stipulate in the RSU by-laws and policies.
Req. candidate profile :
Qualifications:
Excellent organization and time management skills
Good at taking direction and is goal-motivated
Clear written and oral communication skills
Ability to provide clear interpretations of rules and regulations
Knowledge and experience with the electoral process is considered a very strong asset
Familiarity with students’ unions and student elections
Ability to work with a diverse audience
Can deal with and navigate stressful situations
