The Assistant Director of Admissions will assist the Director of Admissions with managing the daily activities within the office. The Assistant Director will report to the Director of Admissions.
Primary responsibilities include:
Supervising and managing the Administrative Support staff within the office. Effectively communicate with the Administrative Support staff to manage all aspects of information flow within the office to ensure accurate and efficient processing of information.
In collaboration with the Director, the Assistant Director will be responsible for the development and implementation of a comprehensive recruitment and retention plan for all MWU programs and overseeing all aspects of the plan.
Serve as the primary contact/liaison between the Office of Admissions and the Chicago College of Pharmacy. Work collaboratively with the Pharmacy Dean's office during the admissions process and attend Pharmacy admissions committee meetings
Review and evaluate admissions applications for all program, advise potential applicants to all programs, and assist with facilitating and planning interview days for all programs
Nationally and regionally recruit students for all MWU programs
Assist the Director with various marketing activities and initiatives
Generate statistical and overview reports as necessary
Supervise and manage the department in the Director's absence
Additional duties as assigned by the Director
Req. candidate profile :
Position Requirements:
Bachelor's degree required (Master's degree in Higher Education Administration or related area is strongly preferred)
Minimum of three years of Admissions related experience (graduate/professional level admissions experience is strongly preferred
Strong knowledge of computers and excellent computer related skills
Travel and some evening and weekend hours will be required
Excellent interpersonal skills
Excellent written and oral communication skills
Excellent organizational skills and the ability to multi-task
