The College of Wooster invites applications for the position of Director of Admissions. The Director reports to the Vice President for Enrollment and is responsible for the supervision and management of the daily operations of the Office of Admissions. The Director works with the Vice President on strategic planning and goal setting and also works closely with other members of the admissions and financial aid staff in determining best practices in relevant technologies.
Responsibilities:
Includes the smooth daily operation of the Admissions Office, training and mentoring of the professional and support staff, recruitment travel, interviewing, conducting information sessions, evaluating applications, analyzing current trends and helping the admissions team develop successful recruitment strategies. This position requires work on some weekends and extended hours, particularly during the selection of incoming students as well as during peak travel and program periods. It may also require 4-5 weeks of travel per year. Also, the Director takes a leadership role in the development and implementation of policies, standards and goals for the Admissions Office. The Director will maintain and promote the highest standards of timeliness and professionalism in business practices.

Position Requirements:
A master's degree is preferred but a bachelor's degree is acceptable. Candidates must have ten years or more of progressively responsible admissions or related experience, including supervising and managing staff and/or extensive experience interacting with college bound or current college students.
