Minimum Qualifications:
Ph.D. from an accredited college or university in a biological science discipline appropriate to the position, teaching experience in biological sciences, research experience in area of expertise, and demonstrated ability to work with students from diverse cultural backgrounds.
Desirable Qualifications:
Demonstrated teaching experience at the college or university level in undergraduate courses in areas related to Biochemistry, Physical Chemistry for the Life Sciences or Cell and Molecular Genetics; demonstrated record of student advising and training; a successfully funded research program in area of expertise, and the ability to develop a research program in the Hawaiian or Pacific region with the potential to obtain extramural funding.
