The Director of Institutional Effectiveness will provide leadership support and assistance in overseeing college-wide programs and processes associated with institutional effectiveness, accountability, and the College's Academic Quality Improvement (AQIP) program. This is a 9-month faculty position beginning January 2009 and reporting to the Executive Dean for Strategic Initiatives & Board Relations.
Job Duties:
Teach one class each Fall and Spring semester.
Collaborate with divisions, departments, committees, and working groups to develop a "culture of evidence" and institutional effectiveness throughout the organization;
Provide day-to-day leadership and support for the College's AQIP initiatives, leading the AQIP Steering Committee and serving as facilitator for the AQIP Working Group;
Apply analytical skills to establish a systemic framework for research processes and develop institutional indicators consistent with the tenets of accountability and continuous process improvement;
Work in close partnership and ongoing collaboration with Institutional Research and College Assessment personnel to promote effectiveness, assessment, transparency, and accountability;
Maintain current knowledge of the Higher Learning Commission and North Central Association accreditation requirements, to include all requirements associated with AQIP;
Coordinate the planning, data collection, and production of evidence for the Systems Portfolio;
Perform other related duties as required or assigned.
Req. candidate profile :
Qualifications:
A Master's degree with three years of experience in a higher education setting is required. Preference will be given to candidates with community college experience, strong analytical and writing skills, and ability to work independently with minimum supervision. Knowledge of the Learning College Model and experience teaching in the community college is helpful.
