Teach undergraduate and graduate business law courses. Make progress toward tenure by contributing to achievement of department
Goals which include:
Providing an effective learning environment for students,
Making intellectual contributions relevant to business law,
Contributing to college curriculum and program development and enhancement,
Contributing to student growth and development such as student advising,
Continuing development of professional knowledge and skills in law,
Performing service to the department, college, university, and our various publics, such as committee assignments and/or community service.
Assisting the college in maintaining AACSB International accreditation.
Req. candidate profile :
Qualifications:
Required:
Juris Doctorate from a nationally ABA-accredited law school and licensed member in good standing of the bar association of any state whether or not actively practicing.
Desirable:
Significant and substantial experience in the practice of business law, demonstrated teaching proficiency in professional and/or academic settings, a history of scholarly research and professional and/or academic publication, an M.B.A. degree from an accredited college or university, law review membership or law publication experience, demonstrated ability to teach and work with persons from culturally diverse backgrounds, and demonstrated ability to contribute to student growth and/or to peer/subordinate professional development.
