Regional Financial Risk Manager
Little Rock, Arkansas; Houston and Dallas, Texas; St. Louis, Missouri; Nashville, Tennessee; Atlanta, Georgia and Baton Rouge, Louisiana
In this role, you would call upon your background in SME-health care/risk management, and your knowledge of group insurance products, funding, rating and financial profit/loss principles in your performance of financial analysis, monitoring, reporting, risk management and forecasting related to all aspects of the region’s insurance business. Other key responsibilities would include all the components of underwriting for experience-rated business, and oversight of two regional group underwriters. You would also contribute to the marketing team’s initiatives by meeting with existing and prospective customers, acting as a consultant for large-group rating explanations and for consumer-directed health plans.
To qualify, you should hold a Bachelor’s degree in Mathematics, Finance, Statistics or Accounting (or other related field) and possess at least 5 years’ experience in group underwriting/actuarial, specializing in large group and advanced underwriting risk assessment. Other requisites include an understanding of state, federal and industry regulations and guidelines related to PPACA underwriting and rating techniques. Advanced proficiency with Microsoft Office is necessary, as is management/supervisory experience.
