Responsible for the fiscal management of over $158 million in annual research expenditures associated with, on average, 2,000 plus projects and the cash management of sponsored programs, including billing and collections, federal drawdowns, interim financial reporting, and supervision of all closeout audit functions. Participate in the long-range planning for the Research Office and help to set the direction of sponsored program administration for the campus.

Qualifications:
Bachelors degree, Masters preferred, in accounting, finance, business administration or other job-related discipline and five years of progressively responsible experience in higher education. Working knowledge of Office of Management and Budget (OMB) Circulars A-21, A-110, A-133 and other pertinent external regulations. Knowledge of federal forms important. Strong accounting, oral and written communications and organizational skills. Knowledge of university accounting system with experience in research administration preferred. Strong knowledge of personal computer and mainframe systems essential. Understanding of generally accepted accounting principles and the University general ledger system is essential.
