To oversee the financial operations of FSAP and each supported organization
Job duties:
*Oversee and facilitate the coordination of strategic financial affairs for FSAP and its supported organizations
*Assume responsibility for the management and reporting of the financial reserves and assets of FSAP and each supported organization, including financing and debt retirement
*Prepare annual operating budgets of FSAP and each supported organization
Conduct a general-ledger review for each of the organizations on a monthly basis
*Coordinate the daily financial operations of FSAP and its supported organizations
*Coordinate the completion of financial-statement audits and tax-return preparation for FSAP and all its supported organizations
*Manage the investment strategy and review the investment portfolio of FSAP and each supported organization on a regular basis
*Perform a monthly budget review and analysis for FSAP and each supported organization
*Prepare 1099-R entries for annuitants and state annuity filings annually
*Prepare miscellaneous financial reports and reviews, as requested by the president
*Review personal-property tax returns for Maryland
*Prepare weekly departmental reports
*Review 401(k), bank reconciliation, payroll, annuity amortization, joint-cost, and state filings as they are completed
*Review the organization's cash management on a weekly basis
*Review restricted-fund reports each quarter
*Supervise the Finance Department
*Perform any other duties assigned by the president
Req. candidate profile :
*Bachelor's degree in accounting and *Certified Public Accountant license
*Five or more years of management experience
*Ability to provide proof of a positive credit standing
*Must be organized and detail-oriented
*Excellent oral and written communication skills
*Ability to work well under pressure and meet deadlines
*Commitment to the objectives of the organization
*Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
