Develops, implements and supervises athletic training programs for the University. Ensures the appropriate care, prevention and rehabilitation of athletic injuries. Supervises professional and student trainers; maintains medical records. Coordinates treatment with Student Health and Counseling Services as well as the team physician. Coordinates adequate coverage for all practices, home and away games. Oversees drug testing for the NCAA when required. Arranges physical examinations for all student athletes. Arranges and approves training room hours for student athletes to receive appropriate treatment and rehabilitation. Travels with teams to athletic events. Tracks inventory; orders equipment and medical supplies. Performs other duties as required to meet organizational needs.

Qualifications:
A master's degree in a related field, two - three years of athletic training experience, preferably in a college setting and NATABOC certification are required. Candidates must possess a NC license or obtain licensure within 30 days of employment. Candidates must also demonstrate familiarity with the techniques used to prevent and treat football injuries. The ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with faculty, staff, students and the general public is required. A valid driver's license, CPR and First Aid certification are preferred. The equivalent combination of education and related work experience may be considered.
