The Department of Special Education at Illinois State University, a large public university with state and nationally recognized teacher preparation programs, invites applications for a tenure track position to be filled at the rank of Assistant/Associate Professor.
Responsibilities will include:
Teaching courses in the deaf/hard of hearing sequence to undergraduate and graduate students; supervising students in school practicum settings; conducting and supervising research activities; seeking external funding; and providing university and professional service. Evening and off-campus instruction is to be expected.

Qualifications:
Applicants must hold an earned doctorate (ABD considered) in deaf education, speech/language pathology, audiology, special education, or related areas. Priority will be given to applicants who have university teaching experience, an active research agenda, and experience teaching or providing direct service to individuals who are deaf/hard of hearing.
