Marymount Manhattan College, an urban, independent, liberal arts college with an enrollment of approximately 2,000 undergraduates, located on Manhattan's Upper East Side, invites applications for the position of Executive Assistant to the President. The mission of the college is to educate a socially and economically diverse population by fostering intellectual achievement and personal growth and by providing opportunities for career development.
The Executive Assistant to the President provides primary administrative support to the President and plays a vital role in keeping the office and operations of the institution organized and on track. In this role the Executive Assistant to the President will assume a wide range of responsibilities including, assisting the Associate to the President for Operations in the overall management and administration of the Office of the President and serve as liaison, recording secretary and confidential support for the Board of Trustees.
Duties will include, but are not limited to:
- Meet regularly with the President and Associate to the President for operations to receive, update, and review delegated tasks.
- Manage the President's full business and travel calendar ensuring time and detail preparation for all meetings, projects, events, travel and in-office work.
- Independently coordinate projects and ongoing functions as the Associate to the President for Operations and President assign; review and monitor them for compliance with the college policies, laws, and regulations.
- Assist the President and Associate to the President for Operations to develop and coordinate special events hosted by the college, such as legislative visits, visiting dignitary functions, meetings of off-campus groups, etc.

Qualifications:
The ideal candidate will have a Bachelor's degree with at least 3+ years of related experience. Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Proficiency using Microsoft Office suite including Outlook. Additional skills required to be successful in this position include: ability to anticipate/recognize problems, issues, and opportunities as they arise and advise the President appropriately. Flexibility in initiating and responding to changing priorities and situations. Ability to exercise exceptional discretion, confidentiality, and judgment in dealing with sensitive issues. Must possess creativity and resourcefulness.
