We are seeking retired military personnel to for a project involving the maintenance and repair of small arms. If you are a retired Army (MOS 45B) or Marine (2111) we would like to speak with you about joining our team!
You will be performing a full range of work involved in diagnosing and locating mechanical misalignment, deficiencies, and malfunctions in equipment like automatic pistols, revolvers, shotguns, carbines, automatic rifles, submachine and machine guns, mortars, recoilless rifles, rocket launchers, or other small arms and accessories.
We are seeking people with the following of specialized experience:
Knowledge of weapons mechanical systems.
Experience in repairing, rebuilding, adjusting and modifying small arms (replacing obsolete parts and/or assemblies).
The ability to recognize and determine the best method to correct malfunctions, and the skill to fit and adjust mechanical parts and assemblies.
Experience in disassembly of weapons, assemblies, subassemblies and other components; replacement of barrels, firing pins, springs, trigger mechanisms, shell ejectors, sights, safety devices, bolts, stocks and other parts and assemblies.
Use hand and machine tools, precision gauges, test instruments, jigs and alignment devices.
Test fire and/or make operational checks of repaired weapons assure safety, accuracy and ease of operation.
Ability to work under minimal supervision.
Temporary Duty (TDY) travel is up to 80%.
Housing and travel expenses will be provided.
This is a TERM position.
Candidates must be able to obtain and maintain a Secret security clearance.
