Job description
Job description: Red Dot Building Systems is a rapidly growing metal building manufacturer specializing in architectural projects that involve a high level of engineering expertise and a firm commitment to customer satisfaction.

The Construction Manager will juggle multiple projects at a time from inception to completion of the construction phase responsible for, but not limited to:
  • Managing multiple construction project teams simultaneously to ensure completed product/service is delivered on-time, within budget, and with quality and integrity
  • Managing collaboration with owners, engineers, architects, estimators, subcontractors, and governmental agencies who are involved in the construction process
  • Tracking and reporting percent of completion/ timelines to customers and managers
  • Ensuring projects remain cost effective and close within or under budget
  • Selecting,scheduling, directing and supervision subcontractors on each job
  • Supervision and training of superintendents
  • Attending job site meetings and keeping everyone informed of project status

Responsibilities:
  • Plan, organize and staff key field positions through interaction with corporate executives
  • Prepare project schedules, purchase orders, subcontract agreements and computer data sheets as required
  • Initiate and maintain relationship with customer, architect and/or engineer to facilitate construction activities
  • Monitor and control day to day construction activities through communication with on-site Superintendents to ensure project is built on schedule, in accordance with design criteria and within budget. Investigate potentially serious situations and implement corrective measures
  • Develop project budget and communicate changes to client and corporate executives in a timely manner
  • Represent company in project and strategy meetings and assist in labor negotiations
  • Assume additional responsibilities as directed by corporate executives
Req. candidate profile : MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:

Education

College Degree in Construction, Engineering, or related discipline is preferred.

Experience

Project Manager / Construction Manager with 10+ years experience managing commercial construction projects for a GC is preferred. Demonstrated history of excellent customer service.

This position will require the employee to visit construction jobsites. The individual must be able to physically navigate a jobsite that is pre-construction and/or under construction.
