Job description
Job description: The Associate Director of Career Management will be responsible for career advising of full-time MBA students. Included will be support for students with self-assessment, career search and job offer decision making. This individual will be responsible for managing relationships with a portfolio of companies that recruit at the Kellogg School. The Associate Director must also build a working knowledge of other industries and job functions so they can support any student in their job search.

Responsibilities:
  • Counsel students on all aspects of job-search activities;
  • Manage relationships with corporate recruiters in portfolio;
  • Design and deliver workshops for students;
  • Network with alumni and others in industries for which responsible;
  • Develop and strengthen relationships with faculty associated with the industries for which responsible;
  • Stay current on industry trends;
  • Serve as liaison to student clubs focusing on marketing, retail and high tech careers and lead the students in corporate visitations (treks) in these industries;
  • Work collaboratively with peers and others across multiple lines of business;
  • Supervise 3 Industry Relationship Managers that are professional exempt level staff.
Req. candidate profile : Minimum Qualifications:
  • 5 years of business experience;
  • A bachelor's degree or the equivalent combination of education and experience from which comparable knowledge and abilities can be acquired;
  • Experience working with MBA students and alumni;
  • Experience in career development or corporate recruiting;
  • Excellent interpersonal, communication (written & oral), presentation, analytical, organizational and project management skills;
  • Ability to foster positive relations with multiple, diverse constituencies to influence and shape change;
  • Knowledge of MBA career fields, job functions and industries;
  • Experience managing and supervising staff;
  • Proven Self-starter.

PReferred Qualifications:
  • Master's degree, especially MBA, preferred.
  • 6 or more years of business experience.
