Morton Metalcraft Co. is a full-service contract sheetmetal fabricator serving a wide range of prestigious OEMs. Our five facilities are able to provide highly engineered components and assemblies to OEMs that serve the agricultural, construction and commercial equipment industries.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
Analyzes various reports, specifications, and prints to identify existing and potential quality problems.
Conducts product experiments and statistical studies to determine causes of quality problems.
Recommends design and processing revisions to reduce actual or potential quality costs.
Collaborates with design and Manufacturing Engineers to establish manufacturing standards and determine allowable deviations from specifications.
Develops and installs inspection methods and procedures for use by inspectors during production.
Interprets inspection requirements for vendors and manufacturing personnel.
Determines disposition of defective parts and products.
Develops bench-work samples for in-process and finished goods inspection comparisons.
Analyzes and evaluates competitor products to determine methods of fabrication and materials, and reports to Sales & Engineering.
Troubleshoots and participates in solving quality-related production problems.
Maintains records, prepares reports, and participates in meetings as necessary.
Organizes containment efforts and actively assists in performing containment.
Req. candidate profile :
EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE:
Bachelor’s degree (B.A./B.S.) from four-year college or university; or one to two years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
