The College of Arts and Humanities at Eastern Illinois University invites applications for the position of Academic Advisor, a twelve month position beginning late October.
Responsibilities:
The Academic Advisor reports to the Assistant to the Dean, Certification Officer, of the College of Arts and Humanities. This position deals directly with students, advisors and department chairpersons. The position assists with the evaluation and updating of student files utilizing BANNER and DARwin and requires a thorough understanding of academic requirements, catalogs, and major and minor requirements.

Qualifications:
The successful candidate will have a bachelor's degree from an accredited institution, experience with BANNER, DARwin and working knowledge of academic records. The position requires effective communication, interpersonal skills, and a commitment to providing high quality support services. Evidence of highly developed organizational skills, the ability to think critically to solve problems and to work independently as well as being an effective member of a management team are essential.
