Cooperative education provides an opportunity to gain valuable work experience related to your field of study. You will be engaged in paid, full-time work that allows you to apply classroom theories to space-flight missions. As an ESTS co-op at NASA's Marshall Space Flight Center, you will have an opportunity to work with engineers and scientists involved in such areas as hardware development, payload integration and operations, laboratory and test operations, propulsion systems, space environments, scientific research, propulsion systems, and project management.
Job duties:
Must have completed 30 semester hours or 45 quarter hours and enrolled in a university's cooperative education program. Must be a full-time student enrolled in a four year accredited university with a major in engineering, computer science, mathematics or physics; possess a minimum of 3.0 GPA; US citizenship required. A minimum of 2 years applicable experience required.
