The 787 Electric Power System Program is developing an extremely advanced Electric Power Generation and Start System, Primary and Secondary Power Distribution Systems and High Voltage DC System for the new Boeing 787 Dreamliner Aircraft.
The Program Manager will be responsible for the Program Management function for the 787 Electric Power system for one or more of the following sub-system elements: Primary Power Distribution System (PPDS), Remote Power Distribution System (RPDS) and High Voltage DC (HVDC) system. Responsible for overall management of one or more of these major sub-systems to include: customer interface and reporting, program planning and budgeting including Earned Value Management using standard EVMS tools, manpower estimates, staffing, product cost, reliability, execution to established schedules and budgets, Risk Management and coordination with support organizations.
BS/MSME or BS/MSEE with MBA or equivalent a plus. Minimum ten (10) years experience in an appropriate engineering discipline or functional equivalent. Minimum five (5) years experience in the development of advanced Aerospace Electric Power systems for commercial or military aircraft. Experience with development of electric power systems for Boeing aircraft is a strong plus. Established and demonstrated program or project management skills in an aerospace environment. Specific knowledge of HS/UTC Program Management policies and practices preferred. Established and demonstrated strong leadership skills in a high intensity program environment.
